KULTURNATT AT BEK: “TREE-DIMENSIONS”

Come join Jennifer D'Amore and Enara Barnés Larrukert on 10.09.2021 18.00 to 22.00 at BEK, C. Sundts gate 55, Bergen for an informal guided tour and an installation presenting a work-in-progress at BEK studios.

The project will use audio and video field recordings, as well as a collection of observations and tools, to capture the textures and vibrations of trees and their surroundings, as well as their "personalities.

Jennifer D'Amore is a Bergen-based artist and filmmaker who was born in the United States. She has been experimenting with multiple sets of dimensions, producing interactive and wearable sculptures that evolve into performance works integrating film and Virtual Reality. Her earlier paintings have been shown at Art Haus International, Renee Taylor Gallery, and Horizon Art. Collaborations include co-designing a video art show with Anne Magnussen at Seoul's Ilmin Museum of Art and co-producing a VR prototype called "Journey of Water" at Norway's Off-Piste Virtual Storytelling studio. Jennifer worked as an editor and dramaturg on the soon-to-be-released documentary film "Alt for Beffen" and is presently a media producer/adviser at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences in Bergen's Media Lab.

Enara Barnés Larrukert is an active member and board member of Dikkedokken Filmlaug, a cross-disciplinary artists' group. Enara's art largely consists of abstract textured films created with photography and film. She has worked on sound and multimedia installations alongside other artists and is interested in cross-disciplinary collaborations that involve creative experimentation. Her latest work with the experimental art collective "Wavelength" has shown in TimeSpecific and the London Art Fair.
