Kristian Stangebye

Kristian is an Producer, Filmmaker and Artist. He has an intensive background as an teacher at the Film School of the University of Bergen in the 90’s and 00’s. Since the 80’s he has been involved in professional film and music productions and has released several records and written film scores for feature documentary movies.

Furthermore, since 2016 he has been working on «Oh it Hertz!», a feature documentary about sound which then has it's world premiere at the world leading documentary festival CHP:DOX during the summer of 2021. (UpNorth film. 90 minutes)

The film also had its Norwegian premiere at the Norwegian Film Festival in Haugesund during August 25. At the moment the film is also featured in film festivals in Poland, South Korea, Australia and Belarus among others. His other roles in film include: Executive producer, original idea, screenplay writer and supervising sound editor.

Since 2015 he has also been involved in the band Sonisk Blodbad (Sonic Bloodbath) as musician, composer and sometimes producer. Our 4th album will be released on Spotify and vinyl December 2021 on Apollon Records. Collaborators include international musicians among them-Fernando Saunders (bassist and producer for Lou Reed), Don Preston (keyboardist for Frank Zappa/Mothers of Invention) and Laurie Amat (vocalist for The Residents).
